LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-  Nigerian singer Niniola has shared a heartbreaking tribute to her late husband, Michael Ndika, revealing the deep pain she has faced since his death on May 19, 2026.

In a touching message shared on her Instagram page, the grieving singer described her late husband, popularly known as Big Mike as the centre of her world, revealing how deeply connected they were throughout their 13-year marriage.

Niniola explained that Ndika was not only her husband, but also her best friend, confidant, business partner, and strongest support system.

She stated that he filled every part of her life despite her naturally reserved personality.

“I’m naturally a LONER and Micheal was all that I needed because he was one in a Million…,” she wrote.

Niniola also expressed her heartbreak over the loss, saying, “God took him from me,” while describing herself as completely shattered by the tragedy.

The singer further stated that her husband played several important roles in her life and remained her closest companion through everything.

Reflecting on their relationship, she described him as “the air I breathe,” while admitting she is still struggling to accept his sudden death.

“I can’t survive this,” she added emotionally.

Niniola revealed that she often catches herself expecting him to return home, saying the reality of his absence still feels impossible to accept.

“I find myself waiting, expecting Michael to walk through the door,” the singer noted.

She also recalled how inseparable they were during their marriage, explaining that they spent most of their time together at home because her husband always wanted her close to him.

“He never wanted me to be away from him. Always wanted me at his side,” she stated.

The couple reportedly kept their marriage away from public attention throughout their 13 years together, leaving many fans surprised to learn that the singer had been married after news of his death became public.

Tributes have continued to pour in from fans, colleagues, and well-wishers across the entertainment industry, many of whom are sending prayers and messages of support to Niniola and her family during this difficult period.
