LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Media personality Eriata Ese has advised women dealing with heartbreak and betrayal in relationships to avoid “cheating back,” saying revenge infidelity only causes deeper emotional damage.

Eriata stated that many women give their all in relationships yet still experience heartbreak and disappointment, maybe because their partner decided to be unfaithful.

However, she warned that cheating in return does not bring healing, peace, or closure.

“Women are being betrayed despite giving their best in marriage, and sadly, broken people are busy advising them to cheat back,” she wrote.

She maintained that revenge infidelity only pushes people deeper into emotional pain while preventing them from properly healing from the original betrayal.

“Cheating back will never give you closure. The moment you do it, you return to the same painful feeling of betrayal your husband caused you,” Eriata stated.

Also, Eriata explained that reacting to emotional wounds by jumping into another unhealthy relationship can leave people emotionally damaged and trapped in destructive patterns.

She added that many individuals continue attracting toxic partners because they never truly heal enough to identify warning signs early.

“You may even continue attracting the same type of men because you never healed enough to recognize a red flag disguised as green,” Eriata wrote.

She bolstered her message with a direct warning against revenge cheating, stating, “IF IT CANNOT BE FIX
LET IT GO
DO NOT CHEAT BACK ❌”

The reality star encouraged women to focus on rebuilding themselves emotionally, mentally, spiritually, and physically instead of seeking revenge after heartbreak.

“Your biggest payback is becoming a version of yourself that even he cannot reach. Physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually upgrading yourself,” she added.

Eriata also advised women to grow closer to God, take time before entering another relationship, and choose partners who genuinely value and respect them.

“Know God more deeply than you used to, and take your time to choose someone ordained by God; someone who will truly love, respect, understand, value, and adore you,” she noted.
