LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Popular Nigerian social media personality Yhemo Lee has reacted strongly to the growing insecurity in the country, expressing fears over the increasing kidnapping incidents affecting both adults and children.

As the nation celebrates Children’s Day, the nightlife mogul took to his online platform to question the government’s efforts in tackling the rising number of kidnapping cases reported across the country.

He stated that the situation has become more troubling with children now becoming victims of violent attacks.

Referencing viral videos of kids under distress, Yhemo Lee lamented the reports of minors being beaten by kidnappers, while also questioning how criminal groups continue to operate freely despite public outrage over insecurity.

Reacting emotionally to the situation, he said, “Omo wetin Dey really burst my head na say this government isn’t doing nothing about this kidnappings. Ok before dem Dey kidnap old people Abi, so even if una lock up for adults which is stupid btw. Children nko? Like babies are being beaten to stupor. Are kidnappers more powerful than the government? Omo it’s finished oh. Till date nothing has been done, innocent children can’t even celebrate children’s day.”

Speaking further, the influencer also expressed concern about the reported spread of kidnapping activities from northern Nigeria to other parts of the country, including Ibadan.

He warned that major cities like Lagos could eventually become targets if urgent action is not taken.

“What is really our fate in this country. They don comot for north now enter Ibadan? Ibadan for backyard here? When dem no go enter Lagos,” he added.

Yhemo Lee went on to address the supporters of the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), urging them to fear God and do the right thing.

“Una wey Dey advocate and campaign for these people make una Dey fear God oh. That’s all I have to say….” Yhemo Lee concluded.
