LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Ghanaian singer Captan has addressed Burna Boy’s past relationship with Shatta Wale, revealing how the Ghanaian dancehall star allegedly helped the Nigerian Grammy winner during an alleged arrest over marijuana use in Ghana.
Speaking during a recent podcast interview, Captan alleged that Burna Boy was once arrested in Ghana for smoking weed and was later released after Shatta Wale stepped in.
The singer disclosed that Shatta Wale sent him and a few others to secure Burna Boy’s release from police custody.
“I once bailed Burna Boy out of prison in Ghana when he was arrested for smoking weed. Shatta Wale sent me and some guys to go and free him from police custody,” Captan claimed.
He further alleged that Burna Boy once faced threats from dangerous individuals while in Ghana, prompting Shatta Wale and his associates to offer him protection and shelter.

He revealed that he witnessed both artists working together in the studio during their friendship, adding that Shatta Wale holds more ground in the industry than Burna Boy.
