LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian rapper Ice Prince has disclosed the shocking amount he spent on smoking over the years, revealing that the habit drained hundreds of millions of naira before he finally decided to quit alcohol and weed.
Nigerian hip-hop star Ice Prince has revealed that smoking weed heavily affected his finances before he eventually gave up the habit.
Speaking during a recent episode of the Black Box podcast, the “Aboki” crooner disclosed that in six years, he spent about N340 million buying weed from just one supplier in Lagos.

According to the rapper, between 2020 and 2026 alone the amount only covered purchases from a single dealer and did not include money spent on other suppliers in places like Abuja, Jos, Ghana, and London.
“From 2020 to 2026, I have spent N340 million on weed from just one dealer alone, not to even mention my other dealers from Abuja, Ghana, Jos, and London. This is just one dealer, who lives close to me in Lagos,” the rapper said.
Ice Prince explained that the huge financial cost eventually pushed him to rethink his lifestyle and make major personal changes.
The rapper said he has now stopped smoking and drinking alcohol while focusing on weight loss and self-improvement.

He also revealed that he has chosen to stay celibate for a period during his journey of self-discovery and personal discipline.
Known as one of Nigeria’s biggest hip-hop stars, Ice Prince rose to fame after releasing his debut album Everybody Loves Ice Prince in 2011, which produced several hit songs and established him as a major force in African music.
Despite the controversy surrounding his revelation, the rapper says he is now focused on building a healthier lifestyle and becoming a better version of himself.
