ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has begun engagement with members of the International Airlines Association of Nigeria as part of renewed efforts to enhance protocol services and improve passenger experience across airports in the country.
FAAN disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday, noting that its Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Henry Agbebire, held a meeting with the association at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The session focused on strengthening collaboration and addressing operational challenges affecting service delivery.
According to the authority, the meeting created a platform for both sides to exchange views on issues impacting airport operations and passenger facilitation.
Agbebire explained that the engagement was designed to “fostering a stronger working relationship between the Department of Protocol and Passages and airline operators, while also providing an opportunity to listen to some of the challenges of the airlines.”

“In response, the airline representatives raised a number of operational concerns, including inadequate signage related to the ongoing landside construction works, insufficient lifts, shuttle bus challenges, and issues with airside ramp markings affected by the ongoing airside construction activities.
They also sought greater support to enhance customer experience,” the statement read.
In his response, the FAAN director assured stakeholders that all issues raised during the meeting would be carefully reviewed to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency across airports nationwide.
He added that the authority would assess the concerns “with a view to improving service delivery and operational standards across the airports.”
