ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-The Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Dr Samuel Ogbuku, has said that ongoing reforms and digitalisation efforts will enhance service delivery and improve operational efficiency within the commission.

According to a statement issued on Monday by the Director of Corporate Affairs, Mrs Seledi Thompson-Wakama, Ogbuku made the remarks during a visit to the commission’s office in Yenagoa.

He explained that the reforms form part of management’s broader plan to reposition the commission for better performance.

Ogbuku added that the reform and digitisation drive are essential for modernising the institution and strengthening its operational systems.

ā€œThe reforms will streamline workflow processes and eliminate bureaucratic bottlenecks affecting service delivery.

ā€œThe digitisation programme will promote transparency, accountability and operational efficiency within the commission,ā€ he said.

He expressed confidence that the initiative would make the NDDC more responsive to developmental needs in the Niger Delta region.

Ogbuku also noted that his engagement with staff provided an avenue to strengthen internal communication and collaboration within the organisation.

He urged employees to support the reforms and remain committed to the commission’s transformation agenda.

ā€œThe commitment of members of staff remains central to our drive towards delivering sustainable development projects and improved living standards for the people.

ā€œYour cooperation and professionalism are essential to achieving the desired reforms and strengthening the commission,ā€ he said.

Also speaking, the Director of the NDDC Bayelsa Office, Mr Godknows Alamieyeseigha, expressed confidence in the ongoing reform process.

He assured that staff would continue to deliver quality service in support of regional development.
