LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- President Bola Tinubu recorded a total victory in Sokoto State on Saturday after securing all votes cast during the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election held across the state.

The result was announced by Governor Ahmed Aliyu, who served as Chief Collation Officer, following the collation of outcomes from all 23 local government areas.

According to the final declaration, Tinubu polled 301,000 votes, while his sole opponent, Stanley Osifo, did not receive any vote.

“After collating results from the 23 local government areas, President Bola Tinubu scored 301,000 votes, while Mr Stanley Osifo secured zero votes,” he said.

The peaceful exercise covered 3,991 polling units across Sokoto State.

Providing details about the polling, Governor Aliyu explained that the state had 329,320 registered APC members, out of which 301,000 were accredited and participated in the voting process.

He added that the results had been properly verified before the official announcement and would be forwarded to the national collation centre for final validation.

The governor also praised the party leadership in the state, particularly Senator Aliyu Wamakko, for his support in strengthening party unity and guiding the process.

Aliyu further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and other stakeholders for ensuring a smooth and credible exercise.

Earlier, the Sokoto State APC Chairman, Alhaji Haruna Adiya, described the primary as a clear demonstration of unity among party members across the state.

He also acknowledged the efforts of collation officers, noting that their coordination helped ensure a seamless process in all local government areas.
