ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- President Bola Tinubu has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in Plateau State after polling 242,023 votes in the exercise conducted across the state.
The result was announced on Saturday night in Jos by Governor Caleb Mutfwang, who served as the Returning Officer for the primary in the state.
Tinubu defeated his rival, Mr Tunde Osifo, who scored 303 votes in the contest.
The votes were collated from the 17 local government areas of Plateau State before the final declaration.

Announcing the result, Mutfwang said he was satisfied with the collation process and formally certified Tinubu as the winner of the exercise in the state.
“By the powers vested on me as the returning officer for the APC presidential primary in Plateau, I hereby certify that this is the summary of the votes collated in this state,” he said.
The governor commended the peaceful, transparent, and credible conduct of the primary election across Plateau.
He also praised party members for their discipline, maturity, and orderly participation during the exercise.
