LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Governor of Rivers State Siminalayi Fubara, said the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential primary election in the state was held without issues, calling it peaceful and well-organized after all results were tallied in all local government areas.
Also serving as the State Collation Officer for the exercise, Fubara announced on Saturday that President Bola Tinubu emerged victorious in Rivers State with a total of 280,082 votes.
“I feel that this process has recorded one of the most organized outings of our great party in recent times,” Fubara said.
The governor explained that the ruling party recorded 297,068 registered members in the state, out of which 280,082 were accredited and participated in the voting process.

The Governor and collating officer further stated that all accredited votes went in favour of Tinubu, while his only opponent, Stanley Osifo, received no vote in the state.
“The only reason it came out this way has to do with good planning. In all, I want to say that I am really impressed with the process,” he added.
He also noted that after reviewing the figures, he was satisfied that the results accurately reflected the votes cast across all 23 local government areas.
Fubara confirmed that the official report from Rivers State would be transmitted to the APC national headquarters in Abuja for final collation and declaration.
