LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actor Williams Uchemba has responded to growing questions about the private life of late colleague Alexx Ekubo, hinting that the actor may have secretly tied the knot before his death.
The late actor reportedly died on Monday, May 11, at Evercare Hospital in Lagos after battling advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
During a recent interview, Uchemba appeared to suggest that Ekubo got married before his death.
Although he did not provide full details, his comments quickly sparked reactions online about the late actor’s relationship status.
When interviewers asked him directly to clarify whether Ekubo was truly married, Uchemba avoided giving a definite answer.

Instead, he pointed out that the actor’s family had already released a statement explaining his marital status.
The conversation later shifted to whether the late actor had children.
Uchemba respectfully declined to speak on the matter, insisting that it was not his place to reveal private information that the actor or his family chose to keep away from the public.
“If anything would come out on that, it would be his family. I will respect his will and the fact that he wanted it that way,” he stated.
Meanwhile, fans continue to mourn Alexx Ekubo while remembering his contributions to Nollywood through his successful acting career and legacy in the entertainment industry.
