LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Controversial Nigerian influencer Blessing CEO has responded strongly to online criticism following her emotional tribute to late Nollywood actor Alexx Ekubo, insisting that years of public attacks have made her emotionally stronger.

The self-acclaimed relationship expert had earlier joined fans and celebrities in mourning the actor’s reported death, while also condemning cancer in an emotional post.

“God will punish cancer,” she wrote, reacting to Alexx Ekubo’s death.

Her tribute quickly sparked criticism across social media.

Many users revisited her past statements about allegedly battling stage 4 breast cancer, accusing her of making insensitive remarks linked to Ekubo’s situation.

In response, Blessing CEO questioned why society often praises people after death while harshly criticizing those still alive.

She stated that constant online attacks have forced her to develop emotional strength and grow a “thick skin” over the years.

“The reason why cancer has not shrunk me like Alex is because I have a tough skin,” Blessing CEO said.

She went further by addressing cyberbullying and mental health, stating that she would never allow online criticism to destroy her emotionally.

While speaking in a video, the relationship expert also explained that unlike philanthropy influencer “King Mitchy,” she would not consume harmful substances because of pressure from trolls.

Blessing CEO further blasted a social media user who allegedly prayed for God to “take her instead” and return the late actor.

She responded with anger, insisting that she would continue confronting people who openly dislike her rather than remain silent.

The controversial influencer also argued that if Alexx Ekubo had publicly shared details about his health struggles, he might still have faced stigma and ridicule online.

She referenced the heavy criticism the actor received years ago after his engagement to his former fiancée ended abruptly, a situation that sparked widespread mockery on social media.

Meanwhile, reactions to her latest comments remain divided. Some social media users questioned why she restricted her comment section despite speaking boldly online.

Others openly declared that they no longer take her opinions seriously, tagging her a “fraud and a liar” over her past revelation of suffering from cancer.
