LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actress Foluke Daramola-Salako has officially entered the 2027 political race under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), obtaining nomination forms to contest for the House of Representatives.
The actress shared photos of herself on her Facebook page, holding APC’s Nomination and Expression of Interest forms to contest for the Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1 seat in the House of Representatives during the 2027 elections.
Daramola had earlier revealed her plans to join the race, speaking about her vision for the constituency. She pledged to support policies that would improve workers welfare if elected.
In one of her campaign messages, the actress encouraged residents of Oshodi-Isolo to stay determined and focused on their goals.

“For the hardworking soul, weekend is not an idle day to stay still but active, reflecting and refining the past week’s activities. Take the moment to relax and embrace it to nurture your ambition with clarity of purpose for the week ahead,” she wrote.
She also addressed constituents directly while describing herself as a servant of the people.
She offered prayers for residents and expressed hope for better opportunities across the constituency.
“As your servant and potential aspirant for the House of Representatives, Oshodi-Isolo Federal Constituency 1, I, Hon. Foluke Daramola-Salako, lift you up in prayers: May Almighty God open doors of opportunities for us all and keep us safe. Together, we will build a stronger, better Oshodi,” Daramola added.

Daramola’s political move reflects a growing trend of entertainers entering Nigerian politics ahead of the next election cycle.
Actor Zubby Michael recently declared his intention to run for a House of Rep seat under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Socialite Cubana Chief Priest also purchased nomination forms to contest for the Orsu/Orlu/Oru East federal constituency seat in Imo State under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
