ABUJA, Nigeria ( VOICE OF NAIJA)-Air Peace has announced a temporary disruption of its Lagos–London Gatwick flight schedule following the detection of a minor fault during a routine technical inspection of the aircraft.
In a statement shared on its X handle by the airline’s management on Saturday, Air Peace said the issue was identified after passengers had boarded the plane, leading to the withdrawal of the aircraft from service in compliance with safety protocols.
“Following the completion of passenger boarding, a routine post-boarding technical check identified a minor aircraft fault that required immediate attention,” the airline stated.
The airline said all passengers were safely disembarked while engineers worked to resolve the issue.
Air Peace emphasised that the safety of passengers and crew remained its highest priority, explaining that suspending the flight was necessary despite the inconvenience to travellers.
