LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw has reacted after fintech platform Piggyvest used a nostalgic scene from her classic movie The Stolen Bible in a viral social media post that sparked massive online reactions.
The drama started when an X user, @Ria_euforia, jokingly asked the savings platform to become stricter with her spending habits.
“need piggyvest to start chasing me around with cane atp,” the user wrote.

In response, Piggyvest quoted the tweet with a famous clip from 2004 film The Stolen Bible, attracting more than a million views and countless laughing reactions from social media users.
The scene featured Kate Henshaw’s character, Nun Apollo, who was dealing with the consequences of stealing a Bible in the movie.

In the clip shared online, Apollo tried praying before a giant crucifix while begging for mercy.
Moments later, the Jesus statue suddenly came alive and chased her, creating one of the film’s most unforgettable scenes.
The viral post quickly spread across X, with many users praising the company’s humour and creativity.
However, Kate Henshaw appeared less impressed by the use of the movie scene.
Reacting publicly to the post, the actress questioned whether the clip was used with proper permission.
“No be copyright infringement be this??😒 You don’t have other examples to use??” she wrote, questioning their choice of example.
