LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, globally known as Davido, has celebrated 15 years in the spotlight while also being named among the 2026 inductees into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta, U.S.A.
The highly coveted recognition celebrates Davido’s global contribution to Afrobeats music and his role in pushing African sounds to international audiences.
The Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame in Atlanta honours influential Black entertainers and music icons with permanent engraved plaques in recognition of their impact on culture and the global entertainment industry.
The induction ceremony is scheduled for June 1 in Atlanta, where the singer will join legendary entertainers including Fela Anikulapo Kuti, Usher, Ms. Lauryn Hill, Ludacris, Jermaine Dupri, and many more.
The announcement was celebrated alongside the Afrobeats star’s 15 years in the music industry, a journey that has seen him evolve into one of Africa’s biggest music exports.
From early songs like “Carolina” featuring Sauce Kid, “Back When” ft. Naeto C to smash hits such as “Owo” and “Fall,” the award-winning singer has continued to dominate charts across different continents.
