(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Sporting Supreme boots their way back into the National Federation Cup in May 2026.

Optimistic, Sporting Supreme FC’s General Manager, Ismail Hamza, is optimistic that his team will bring laurels to the FCT at the ongoing National Federation Cup.

The club qualified for the national tournament by winning the 2026 FCT Federation Cup, defeating their opponents 2–1 at the final on April 25.

By no means is Sporting Supreme going to take its foot off the pedal.

Hamza went on record saying his club was up to the task of performing on the national stage.

This fuel to succeed, no doubt, comes from Sporting Supreme’s early exit from last year’s National Federation Cup in the round of 32 teams.

Even with the disappointing loss, Sporting Supreme won the U-19 category of the Dana Cup in Denmark, while they also won the U-18 edition of the Gothia Cup in Sweden.

Already, representative teams from all 36 states from the federation, and the Federal Capital Territory, have qualified for this year’s edition of the President’s Federation Cup in both the men’s and women’s categories.

Some other teams entered include Nasarawa Amazons, Sporting Supreme U-19, Sunshine Queens, FC Robo Queens, and Delta Queens. Also competing for the FCT are Naija Ratels and NAF FC. States like Lagos, Oyo, Plateau, and Kaduna also submitted two teams each.

In the men’s category, clubs from the Nigeria Premier Football League like Enyimba FC, Rangers International, Bendel Insurance, Rivers United, and Plateau United confirming their participation.

Some academy sides and feeder clubs are also showing that the Federation Cup will be competitive from the grassroots. They include Adamawa United Academy, Jigawa Golden Stars Jnr, Zamfara United Feed
