LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actress Lizzy Gold has explained why she believes men should marry women who earn less than them to maintain respect in relationships and marriage.

The actress shared her thoughts on money and marriage while relaxing with crew members after filming on set.

Gold revealed that financial imbalance in relationships can shape how partners treat each other, especially women.

She argued that when a woman earns more than her husband, it may lead to a lack of respect for the man over time.

The actress stated that financial status played a strong role in determining respect and stability in modern marriages.

She went further to advise men to be mindful of this when choosing a life partner. In her view, marrying a woman who earns less could help preserve harmony and respect in the relationship.

At the same time, the actress maintained that she would only consider marrying a man who is significantly wealthier than she is.

“As a man, if you want to earn respect from a woman, marry someone you’re richer than. If you marry a woman wey get money pass you, my brother, you’re on your own. She will never respect you. As for me, I will marry a man who is far richer than me,” Lizzy Gold said.
