ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- Minister of Works, David Umahi, has thrown his weight behind the second-term ambition of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, declaring his re-election in 2027 as “sacrosanct.”
Umahi made the declaration while endorsing Tinubu’s nomination form for another term, describing the move as signing a “victory form,” according to a statement issued by his media aide, Francis Nwaze.
The minister framed the President’s re-election bid as a continuation of what he called a transformative phase in Nigeria’s development, stressing the need for stability and policy continuity.
He said the current administration has laid a solid foundation for national growth, particularly through infrastructure renewal programmes being executed across the country.

Highlighting developments in the works sector, Umahi pointed to ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects as critical drivers of economic expansion and connectivity.
According to him, the progress recorded so far reflects a deliberate effort to reposition the country and should be sustained through a second term.
The former Ebonyi State Governor expressed confidence that Tinubu remains best placed to consolidate ongoing reforms and complete key national projects already underway.
He also urged Nigerians to sustain their support for the administration, noting that consistent leadership is essential for achieving long-term development goals.
