LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian singer Seun Kuti has shut down any hope of mending his relationship with Afrobeats superstar Wizkid, after his “I am bigger than your father” remark.
The tension between both artists began when Wizkid suggested he was greater than Afrobeat pioneer Fela Anikulapo-Kuti.
His statement came after Seun had earlier urged fans to stop comparing Wizkid to his late father, widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in African music.

Shortly after Seun’s speech, the situation quickly escalated online. Wizkid’s fanbase, known as “FC,” flooded Seun Kuti’s social media pages with heavy criticism, intensifying the already strained relationship.
Speaking during a recent podcast interview, Seun was asked directly if the feud had been resolved.
His responded by saying their disagreement is permanent. The singer maintained that any disrespect toward his father would be met with a lifelong beef.
“It is on for life. I don’t have anything to say about him but it is on for life. You don’t say things about my dad and then it is fine. There is no coming back from that,” he said.
