LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian street-hop star Portable has announced the birth of a baby boy with partner, turning what could have been a disappointing loss in the ring into a personal victory at home.
The singer and his partner, Omobewaji Ewatomi, welcomed a baby boy named Jamal Iremide, marking their third child together.
The announcement first came from Bewaji, who shared the news on Instagram.
Keeping it short but heartfelt, she wrote, āAlhamdullillah,ā expressing gratitude for a safe delivery while introducing their newborn son to the world.
Soon after, Portable joined in the celebration online. He posted photos of himself holding the baby, clearly emotional, while praising Bewaji for what he described as āmaking him happy.ā

In the pictures, the singer also wore boxing belts from his previous celebrity matches against Speed Darlington and Charles Okpocha, blending his fight persona and family moment into one image.
The timing added an unexpected twist, as fans noted. The baby was born on May 1, the same day Portable lost the widely publicized celebrity boxing match to content creator, Carter Efe.
The coincidence quickly became a talking point across social media. Reacting in his usual dramatic style, Portable revealed where his priorities lie.
āI thought I would carry a belt, but I carried my child instead. You can buy a belt, but you canāt buy a child,ā he said, adding that while Bewaji was in labour, he was in the ring fighting.
Despite the defeat, the singer insisted he has no regrets. He maintained that his newborn son is more valuable than any trophy.
Meanwhile, Portableās personal life continues to attract attention. He previously caused debate with comments about wanting multiple wives before turning 40.
More recently, he clarified that Bewaji remains his only wife, while others are mothers of his children.
Fans have flooded his social media pages with messages of congratulations, welcoming his newborn son and sending prayers to his wife.
