LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele has revealed why she no longer attends church in person, citing constant camera attention during worship services.

In a video shared on her Snapchat story on Sunday morning, the award-winning box office star was seen at home preparing breakfast for her children while getting them ready for church.

While she ensured they attended service, she explained why she no longer joins them inside the church.

The filmmaker highlighted how public attention inside the church disrupts her ability to worship peacefully, saying the constant filming becomes distracting rather than uplifting.

She noted that while she stayed back, she usually joined the online service, worshipping from home.

The new arrangement allowed her maintain her spiritual routine while also focusing on her work and family responsibilities.

“I’m making breakfast for the kids. Getting them ready for church. I myself am not going to church. Whenever I go to church, they take pictures of me. So, I will join online, make breakfast and edit some jobs,” Akindele revealed.
