LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian singer Adebayo Adeleke, popularly known as B-Red, has recounted a frightening encounter in Osogbo after what officials described as an alleged assassination attempt near the Government House.
Recounting the tense escape from an ordinary outing, the “Uju” hitmaker said he was driving near Alekuwodo Market around mid afternoon when he noticed unusual movement around his vehicle.
The suspected attackers, wearing caps branded “Ambo,” chased him on motorcycles, locally known as okadas while a white Toyota Venza followed closely, with occupants loudly pointing him out.
“As I went out to buy some stuff around Alekuwodo market, I just saw some Okada riders with AMBO caps trying to surround my vehicle at a traffic point under Okefia Bridge. As we tried to move out, we saw a white Toyota Venza coming towards us with a shout of ‘it is him; It is him,’” B-Red alleged.
