LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood star Adesua Etomi-Wellington has shared a humorous take on her marriage, admitting that her husband, Banky W, embodies everything she once said she did not want in a partner.
Speaking during a recent appearance with Banky W on the Teju Babyface Podcast, the actress explained that she once had very clear preferences about the kind of man she wanted to marry.

Adesua explained that she had firmly decided against marrying a musician, a politician, or a pastor.
She said these were the top three qualities she specifically prayed against when asking God for her life partner.
Despite her clear requests, things did not turn out as planned.
In a lighthearted moment, Adesua pointed out that her husband fits all three descriptions, making the situation both ironic and amusing.

“Before I met my husband I had a few requirements that I told God very strongly that I did not want. I did not want to marry a musician. I did not want to marry a politician. And I did not want to marry a pastor. But God gave me all three,” the actress said.
Their love story began in 2015 when Banky W noticed Adesua at an event and was instantly drawn to her.
After finding a way to contact her, he sent a playful Instagram message that made her laugh.

Adesua later admitted that she kept him in the friend zone for over a year while they built a strong bond and aligned their values.
They started dating in 2016, appeared as a couple in Kemi Adetiba’s 2016 movie, The Wedding Party, and got engaged in February 2017.
The duo later married in November 2017 and now have two children, born in 2021 and 2024.
