LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian gospel singers Goke Bajowa and Boye Best have put their long-running clash behind them with a public reunion during a Lagos album launch.
The surprising public reconciliation happened live on stage during Boye Best’s album launch on Wednesday, April 29.
In videos making rounds online, both artists shared a warm hug in front of the crowd, officially settling their dispute.
Shortly after, they performed the disputed song ‘Iwo Ko Lodami’ together. Speaking to the audience, Bajowa admitted that his initial opinion about Boye Best has changed.
“People told me that Boye Best is a good person and today I have confirmed,” he said.

He also hinted at how their renewed relationship will lead to more music, saying, “We are going to do an official collaboration of Iwo Ko Lodami.”
The disagreement between the two singers started earlier when Bajowa accused Boye Best of using and performing the song for years without proper permission or credit.
He had alleged in an Instagram post that a promotional clip made it seem like Boye Best owned the track.
In defense, Boye Best denied the claims at the time. He explained that the video in question was created by a lounge manager in Ikeja who invited him to host an event, adding that the content was shared without his full awareness.
Now, with both artists moving forward, fans are already looking forward to their promised collaboration and more features, which could mark a fresh chapter for gospel music in Nigeria.
