LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Popular Nigerian comedian and content creator Samuel Animashaun Perry, known widely as Broda Shaggi, has triggered concern after sharing a cryptic message about his state of mind, accompanied by a sombre picture.
Known for his high-energy comedy, the skit maker surprised followers with a quiet, emotional post that many fans described as out of character.
In the post, the comedian shared a direct prayer-message to God about faith, highlighting the current difficult phase in his life.
He revealed he’s hanging by a thread, but expressed trust in God despite not fully understanding his situation.
“Dear God, God, I’m still holding on because You asked me to trust You. Even when I don’t understand it all, I know You allowed this for a reason. So I’m still trusting, still believing, still waiting on You. You have never failed me and I know You never will 
,” Broda Shaggi wrote.
Alongside the message, he uploaded a series of sombre images. One showed him in a black hoodie, looking straight at the camera with a neutral expression.
Another displayed the words, “I’m on whatever God is on,” while a third featured a back-facing gray artwork of a lonely man’s silhouette.

What shocked fans most is how the usually lively entertainer disabled comments, shutting both fans and critics out from asking questions or offering support.
For many followers, Broda Shaggi’s shift in character and tone was hard to ignore. Instead of the usual laughter, the post carried a heavy, reflective mood.
This contrast quickly sparked conversations across social media, with fans reposting and sharing their worries and speculations.
Some believe the comedian may be dealing with personal or health challenges. One user, @GLat_2000, wrote, “I saw it the last time he posted this same pattern. Shaggy is having an issue which is alleged to be health wise.”
Another pointed to unconfirmed reports of a past incident. @_Soloomon claimed, “Heard someone tried to take his life on a set at Ogun state. I hope he’s fine now.”

Interestingly, the concern comes weeks after rumours surfaced that the comedian suffered a gunshot injury while filming in Sango-Ota, Ogun State.
