LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Veteran Nollywood actor Vitalis Ndubuisi has offered a candid take on how people handle personal struggles, revealing too much personal pain may do more harm than good.

In a reflective message, the Nollywood figure explained that while many people expect comfort after opening up, the reality can be quite different.

He suggested that not everyone truly understands the depth of another person’s situation, no matter how detailed the explanation may be.

“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life is to stop telling people everything that is wrong with you. It’s a big mistake to think that after explaining what you’re going through, people will offer relief,” he said.

Furthermore, he warned that constantly talking about one’s problems might not only fail to bring relief but could also push people away.

In his view, some relationships may even become strained when others feel overwhelmed or unable to relate.

“Later, you may discover that such outpouring achieves little because nobody truly understands the full weight of your problem since they are not there with you. Sometimes, after explaining everything to them, they even start distancing themselves from you,” he added.
