McPherson University Secures NUC Accreditation For 10 Programmes

ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-McPherson University, Ajebo, Ogun State, has announced that it has obtained full accreditation from the National Universities Commission for 10 undergraduate programmes assessed during the commission’s October/November 2025 accreditation exercise.

The institution’s Director of Information and Public Relations, Tokunbo Olakunle, made this known in a statement issued on Monday. 

He explained that the approval was communicated in a letter signed by the Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the NUC Executive Secretary.

Olakunle added that the accreditation came after a series of evaluations conducted by NUC teams during visits to the university within the accreditation period.

Olakunle stated, “The approval was conveyed in a letter signed by the Director of Accreditation, Engr. Abraham Chundusu, on behalf of the Executive Secretary of the Commission.

“The accreditation followed a comprehensive assessment exercise carried out by different teams from the Commission during visits to the university in October and November 2025.”

He listed the accredited programmes to include Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Public Health, History and Diplomatic Studies, Information Technology, Law, Biotechnology, and Economics.

According to him, the accreditation will remain valid for five years.

Reacting to the development, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Francis Igbasan, praised the staff for their commitment and hard work.

“The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Francis Igbasan, who disclosed the development to the university community, commended members of staff for their dedication and commitment, describing the achievement as a testament to the institution’s pursuit of academic excellence,” Olakunle concluded.
