LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Former Big Brother Naija winner and streamer Phyna has sparked conversation after sharing her personal stance on motherhood and future family plans.

In a recent discussion, she revealed that she does not see herself having biological children, despite being aware of her fertility.

Instead, Phyna says her focus has shifted toward caring for pets.

“I’m very fertile, but I don’t have any desire to have a biological child. I just wanna be a cat and dog mum,” she said.

The streamer explained that her outlook is influenced by life experiences and emotional growth, especially around relationships and personal expectations.

“I think the love for animals in women kicks in when we’re approaching our 30s, some of them in their mid-30s, late 30s, especially when you don’t see yourself settling down. Maybe you’ve been in too many broken relationships, you’ve gone through too many heartbreaks, I don’t know,” Phyna said.

She added that many women begin to connect more deeply with animals as they get older, particularly after going through heartbreaks or unstable relationships.

“So women tend to start developing a likeness for pets like that, and I think I’m in that stage. I think I’m in that stage right now,” she added.
