LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian film star Jim Iyke has spoken candidly about what he believes is one of the biggest setbacks facing the country’s film industry, pointing to sabotage within Nollywood while reflecting on personal and family milestones.
During an interview with BBC, the filmmaker said the industry is struggling with internal challenges that hinder its growth.
He suggested that removing negative influences would be a forward step towards growth and global recognition.
He revealed that if given the chance, he would purge the industry of these disruptors, adding that they need “therapy.”
“If there is one thing I would love to change about Nollywood, it would be to purge saboteurs from the industry. The industry is full of saboteurs. They can’t help themselves. They need therapy,” he said.

When asked about his current relationship status, Iyke gave a vague response, suggesting he is neither fully single nor fully married.
