LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-Nigerian music mogul Don Jazzy has revealed why he struggles to trust romantic declarations from women, linking it to painful experiences from his university days.

In a revealing conversation with media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio, the Mavin Records boss shared how rejection shaped his emotional outlook.

Don Jazzy revealed that his time in university was marked by ridicule, especially from women who openly dismissed him and called him “ugly.”

He explained that those moments left a lasting impact on his confidence, making his shy and unable to truly accept love advances today.

“Girls used to call me ugly in university and no one wanted to be my girlfriend. It affected my confidence, and that’s why I’m shy and struggle to speak in public till today,” he said.

Now, the wealthy music executive says his success has made him highly desirable to many women, but he still questions their intentions, asking why that same love wasn’t there when he had nothing.

“It is also why I find it hard to believe when a woman tells me she truly loves me. Most of them are now rushing me now, why didn’t they love me then?” Don Jazzy asked.
