ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) on Thursday announced plans to conduct a live firing exercise for cadets of the 76 Regular Course.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Academy’s Public Relations Officer, Maj. Reuben Kovangiya in Kaduna.

He said the exercise, tagged: “Elementary Application of Fire”, would take place from April 23 to April 25, at the NDA Open Range in Afaka.

Kovangiya explained that the exercise would involve both day and night firing activities.

He assured residents of Mando, Tsamiya, Kauya and the Afaka general area that adequate safety measures had been put in place to ensure a secure and successful exercise.

The image maker, however, urged members of the public to keep away from the exercise area and avoid trespassing throughout the period.

He appealed to the public to cooperate with the academy by adhering strictly to the safety advisory.
