LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Veteran Nigerian producer and singer J Martins has weighed in on the growing tension between former P-Square members Peter Okoye and Paul Okoye, urging both brothers to settle their dispute away from public view.
The music star, known for his long-standing working relationship with the duo, shared his thoughts after Peter, aka Mr P, announced a change to his birth date.
J Martins bluntly stated that he found the move puzzling.
He questioned why anyone would suddenly alter such a personal detail after decades, especially in the middle of a family disagreement.

Taking to social media, he appealed directly to the brothers, calling for a private resolution amid the fresh controversy.
“These are my brothers for more than two decades. I still don’t understand why one will just wake up decades to change his own birthday separate from his twin brother?” he wrote.
J Martins urged the Okoye brothers to settle their differences peacefully as mature adults, away from the public eye, and to avoid bringing shame on the “Ndigbo,” a term that refers to the Igbo people.

“@PeterPSquare and RudeboyPsquare can we fix these stuff inside our house and bring this shame on ‘Ndi Igbo nke anyi’,” he added.
Meanwhile, Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, recently revealed he has moved his birthday from November 18 to November 30 and also owned the P-Square name.
The announcement followed ongoing accusations involving financial misconduct, betrayal, and a lack of respect within the family.
