ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-The Chief Judge of Kano State, Justice Dije Abdu-Aboki, has administered the oath of office to 30 newly appointed Shari’a Court judges.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Saturday in Kano by the spokesperson for the Kano State Judiciary, Baba Jibo-Ibrahim.
He noted that the ceremony represented a major step toward strengthening the administration of justice in the state.
Justice Abdu-Aboki congratulated the judges and urged them to be God-fearing while carrying out their duties with integrity, impartiality, and accountability.
She also stressed the need to uphold the principles of justice, fairness, and the rule of law.

In his remarks, the state Attorney-General, Mr Abdulkarim Kabiru-Maude, SAN, also congratulated the appointees and encouraged them to maintain high ethical standards in the discharge of their duties.
He highlighted the importance of ensuring that courts continue to serve as pillars of equity and social harmony, while reaffirming the state government’s commitment to supporting the judiciary.
Those present at the event included the Grand Khadi of Kano State, Tijjani Yusuf-Yakasai, Khadis of the Shari’a Court of Appeal, High Court judges, and other key stakeholders in the justice sector.
