LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Reality TV star Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has explained why she believes many Nigerian men avoid bold and confident women like her.
In a viral video, the former Big Brother Naija winner said her strong personality often intimidates men. According to her, she’s a whole meal with a score card that rates “10.”
Phyna stated that being outspoken and self-assured can make some men uncomfortable, especially those who prefer more submissive and calm partners.

“I’m a whole 100, I’m a 10 over 10. The thing is just that Nigerian men are scared of women that are bold and confident women,” she said.
Furthermore, the reality star turned streamer argued that some men are more attracted to women who do not challenge them.
She claimed these men prefer voiceless partners who will easily agree with their views rather than question their decisions.
“Our men basically like women that they can sit on their head, women that when they say this or that, she will go with it. They don’t want any woman that has a say,” she added.
She also pointed out that women with strong personalities are often misunderstood.
In her view, people tend to judge confident women quickly without taking time to truly understand who they are.

Meanwhile, Phyna has also been in the spotlight for her recent lifestyle updates. She recently underwent a BBL procedure and has been confidently showing off her new look online.
In addition, she revealed earlier that she is open to dating again, but with clear expectations. She noted that intelligence remains a key quality she looks out for in a partner, stressing that she wants a man who “has sense.”
