ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-Nigeria’s headline inflation rate increased to 15.38 percent in March 2026, marking a slight rise from the 15.06 percent recorded in February.
This is based on the latest figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
On a month-on-month basis, the country’s headline inflation stood at 4.18 percent.

In the same vein, food inflation climbed to 14.31 percent in March, up from 12.12 percent in the previous month.
“In March 2026, the Headline inflation rate rose to 15.38 percent, up from 15.06 percent in February 2026.
On a month-on-month basis, the Headline inflation rate in March 2026 was 4.18 percent.
“The Food inflation rate in March 2026 was 14.31 percent. On a month-on-month basis, the Food inflation rate in March 2026 was 4.17 percent”, NBS stated
