LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- The President of the Deejays Association of Nigeria, Prince Akim Edeh, has pushed back against widespread reports suggesting the body banned songs by Burna Boy after his recent altercation with DJ Tunez.

Insisting that there was no restrictions placed on Burna Boy’s songs, the group stated that the claims are untrue and misleading.

In a statement released on Thursday, DJAN clarified that no such action was taken Ava just the Grammy winning artist. Edeh stressed that the organization never approved any restriction or announced such.

However, they reiterated growth and their collective goal, urging for mutual respect among members and artists. The association stated that investigations were still ongoing, while they remained committed to violent-free relationships in the industry.

As a body dedicated to the growth and integrity of the entertainment industry, we maintain a firm and unwavering stance against any form of violence or physical confrontation. We are currently monitoring ongoing investigations. DJAN remains committed to fostering a healthy and collaborative environment between all practitioners and performing artists within the music space,” he said.

Meanwhile, the association clarified that DJ Tunez is not a registered member, a detail it believes is important in understanding the situation. In addition, DJAN urged the public to stay calm while authorities look into the matter.

Reaffirming its position, the group stated, “We urge the public to remain calm and allow the relevant authorities to investigate the matter. We didn’t and have no intention to place ban on Burna Boy’s music or any other artist.”
