LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nigerian rap star Phyno is expanding beyond music with a move into sexual health, teasing a new condom brand that blends culture, lifestyle, and safe sex awareness.
The rapper, widely known for hit songs like ‘Do I’ steps into a new business space with the announcement of his condom brand, Okpu by Alobam via Instagram, where he shared an image of two condom variants alongside the caption, “Okpu by Alobam @okpubyalobam coming soon. Stay strapped.”

The name Okpu, which translates to “cap” in Igbo and is also street slang for condoms, reflects the rapper’s deep cultural identity. The product reportedly comes in lubricated two-packs featuring camouflage designs, a creative nod to his indigenous hip-hop style and his breakout 2014 track Alobam!.

While no official launch date or full product details have been disclosed, the move places the rapper within the growing sexual wellness market.
It also aligns with ongoing conversations around youth health and the importance of safe sex practices in Nigeria.
Phyno has built a strong legacy in the music industry. He began his career as a producer in 2003 before rising to fame as a rapper known for performing primarily in the Igbo language.
Over the years, he has earned widespread recognition and awards for his contributions to Nigerian music.
