LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Bose Ogulu, mother of Burna Boy, held an intense prayer session to cancel a curse her son placed on her during a livestream that explained his clash with DJ Tunez, Wizkid’s official disc jockey.
During the livestream, the Grammy-winning artist insisted he singlehandedly confronted DJ Tunez, who is closely linked to Wizkid.
Burna Boy dismissed claims that a group attack took place, maintaining that he acted alone and issued a strong oath tied to his mother’s life.
The singer had sworn to the Yoruba god of iron (Ogun) to take his mother to the same place Wizkid’s late mother rests, if his account was untrue.
“Na only me touch DJ Tunez, no be 10 people. Na two slaps I give am. I swear with my mama. If I dey lie, make Ogun carry my mama go anywhere wey Wizkid mama dey,” he said during the livestream.

However, the situation quickly escalated after a video surfaced online, showing Burna Boy alongside members of his team attacking DJ Tunez, contradicting his statement.
Wizkid had also earlier alleged on X that Burna Boy arrived at a Lagos nightclub with a group and assaulted his official DJ after he refused to play his music, intensifying tensions between both camps.
In response to her son’s public declaration, Bose Ogulu was later seen in a viral clip holding a prayer session surrounded by members of Burna Boy’s crew.
The emotional gathering showed her speaking passionately, rejecting negative words and invoking God’s protection over her life.
“Oloun ma je a remi kemi. Oloun ma je a remi kemi,” she prayed in Yoruba, roughly translated to “God will not allow me witness evil.”
The video has since generated mixed reactions online.
While some viewers described the moment as dramatic but symbolic, others commended her for addressing the situation spiritually, noting the cultural belief in the power of spoken words.
