ABUJA, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)-The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 19 ships are currently offloading petroleum products and various commodities at Lagos ports.
The disclosure was made in its daily publication, Shipping Position, released to journalists on Saturday in Lagos.
According to the NPA, the vessels are discharging their cargoes at Apapa, Lekki, and Tin-Can Island ports.
The authority stated that the ships are carrying aviation fuel, petrol, diesel, bulk gas, bulk wheat, and other goods.

Additional items being offloaded include base oil, bulk urea, fresh fish, bulk fertiliser, soya beans, gasoline, containers, and general cargo.
The NPA further revealed that 44 ships loaded with petroleum products, food items, and other goods are expected to arrive at Lagos ports between April 11 and April 20.
It noted that the incoming vessels would transport general cargo, bulk wheat, bulk gas, crude oil, bulk fertiliser, petrol, aviation fuel, diesel, bulk urea, and containerised goods.
The authority also stated that 10 ships have already arrived and are awaiting berthing, carrying bulk gypsum, base oil, diesel, bulk stock, and gasoline.
