LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Nollywood figure-turned-evangelist Tonto Dikeh has made a startling confession about a deeply personal past involving cult activity, sharing how she was entangled in dark spiritual practices and also how the new spiritual awakening she experienced reshaped her life.
Speaking candidly during a church ministration in Tanzania, the former actress recounted how her journey through the entertainment world led her into choices she now regrets.
“The devil has lost this battle, I don’t care what you think, I don’t care what they say, this is God. In the midst of trying to navigate life in the wicked world that I came from, I had put my hands into so many dirty things. And did filthy things,” she said.
According to Dikeh, her search for identity and survival in a challenging environment pushed her toward dangerous paths, including cult involvement. However, God’s grace found her and turned her life around.

“I joined a cult and worked so hard for the demon. I know who he is, and I know that he doesn’t have anything over me anymore. And today, God said no, mercy said no. I’ll take you back and clean you up. I’ll put you on altars to preach my gospel,” she said.
Dikeh described what she believes was a divine intervention that redirected her path. She explained that a spiritual calling marked the beginning of her transformation, ultimately leading her back to Christianity.
Following the ministration, she took to Instagram to share what she called her first assignment from God, an instruction that initially left her questioning its purpose. Dikeh said the task involved cleaning her home, despite already having staff responsible for such duties.
Over time, she came to interpret the directive as symbolic. She explained that the assignment was meant to cleanse her internally while preparing her for a higher purpose and the start of a renewed spiritual journey.
