LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Mukoro  Ereremena  Michelle, popularly known as King Mitchy has issued a public apology following criticism over a live video where she admitted to taking a harmful substance on air, sparking widespread outrage among her followers.

In an Instagram video, the social philanthropist expressed deep regret over her actions, acknowledging that her behaviour was inappropriate, especially considering the young audience that looks up to her. Emphasizing the seriousness of her reflection, she admitted that taking the substance during the live video was a misstep and expressed remorse for disappointing fans.

“I’m ready to be held accountable for my actions. For some days I’ve thought about my behaviour and I know that I was wrong. I want to be held accountable for the substance I took on live video. That was very wrong of me because there are young girls that are looking up to me one day, and I know I disappointed a lot of people,” Mitchy stated.

Mitchy also extended her apologies to individuals affected by the controversy. She publicly apologized to her boss, Seyi Tinubu, acknowledging that although a private apology had been made, the public nature of the incident required a public gesture.

“My boss, ST Seyi Tinubu, I’m so sorry. I know I apologised privately but I did not disrespect you privately I disrespected you publicly, so I want to apologize publicly. I’m so sorry sir,” she said.

The influencer further apologized to the Ooni of Ife for bringing his name into the situation. Finally, she addressed activist VeryDarkMan, acknowledging his advocacy work and expressed regret for previously confronting him.

“To the Ooni of Ife, I’m so sorry for bringing your name into this, daddy. To VeryDarkMan, my brother, I see what you’re fighting for, you’re fighting for Nigeria and we can make Nigeria a better place. I’m sorry for coming at you like that. Maybe now I understand you better,” she said.

King Mitchy concluded by encouraging support for his cause rather than criticism, stating, “You need more supporters, not people to fight you. I’m sorry, my brother. Thank you.”
