LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)– Ghanaian music star Black Sherif has dismissed viral tweets about an alleged cheating scandal, revealing the posts came from a fake social media account impersonating him.
The viral messages, shared through a parody account on the social platform X, claimed the rapper had endured repeated infidelity from a romantic partner. The account posted detailed statements describing betrayal, forgiveness and eventual heartbreak.

In one of the posts, the parody account wrote, “I caught you cheating at least three times. At first you lied, but later you admitted it. I forgave you because I liked you.” Another post about relationships stated, “Women don’t love; they love on conditions, and they’re all the same. No one can tell me otherwise!!”
The post further claimed the singer remained in the relationship despite what it described as a “very bad attitude” and repeated disrespect.

The “Kweku the Traveller” hit maker noted that the alleged partner had been blocked on all social media platforms. Shortly after, the tweets went viral, drawing reactions from many fans who believed the posts were genuine statements from the 24-year-old artist.
However, the confusion prompted the rapper to publicly distance himself from the claims. Using Snapchat, Black Sherif clarified that he had no affiliation to the account and described its handler as fake.

In his message to followers, the musician expressed disappointment that some fans accepted the story without verifying its source. He added that his self composed nature kept him from such situations.
“Assalamu Alaikum. There is a FAKE Black Sherif on Twitter ranting about his failed relationship. And Apparently some of you believe it’s me and I’m really disappointed about that. My swag can never allow me to do such a thing. I urge you all to be careful and not be misinformed. We have a busy week ahead of us. Don’t be swayed,” he wrote.
