According to a reports, authorities arrested a woman on Sunday March 8, following an alleged shooting outside the superstar’s mansion. Investigators said the suspect fired multiple rounds toward the property from inside a vehicle while the singer was at home with her three children. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Police later identified the suspect as 35-year-old Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, who allegedly used an AR-15-style rifle during the attack.
She reportedly has arrest records in Orlando and Orange County, Florida, and just lost a custody battle for her 10-year-old child. Also, her social media pages carried malicious posts directed at Rihanna.

Outrage also poured in from users who demanded strict punishment for the suspect. Instagram user @ches_decor vented,’“Throw her in jail for life imprisonment for tryna bash into my momma’s Home. how dare she???? are u ill or something? bruhhhhh throw her in jail till 100 years to come fuckaa.”
Similar sentiments surfaced on Facebook. User Ojinnaka Davis Chidi, argued that bail should not even be considered if the suspect is found guilty.
“If found guilty, should there be any room for bailing at all at the first place? They should just send her to prison. Bailing is like a second chance for her to re-strategize and carry out her assignment with perfection. Just give her same punishment of a murderer because wether attempted or not, it’s still same intention to me,” she wrote.
Others speculated about possible motives behind the shocking act. Facebook user Successful Chiji asked pointedly, “How come, What did she say she want from Rihanna and family m Who sent her to Rihanna? How much was she paid to act foolishly.” Another commenter, Jonah Edet, reflected on appearances versus reality, saying, “My problem isn’t the shooting But how innocent she looks Moral lesson; All that glitter isn’t gold.”
For some fans, jealousy was the obvious explanation. Still, the harshest reactions demanded severe consequences.
The frightening episode also revived memories of an earlier security breach at the singer’s property. In 2018, a man identified as Eduardo Leon was arrested after scaling a fence and breaking into her Hollywood Hills residence, fortunately she was away at the time.
Relief now dominates the conversation among fans worldwide, many of whom say the incident highlights the troubling risks faced by global celebrities. Nigerian supporters, however, remain united on one point: gratitude that their beloved “Riri” emerged safe from yet another unsettling moment.
