LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- A frightening incident unfolded outside the Los Angeles residence of pop superstar Rihanna after a woman allegedly fired multiple gunshots toward the property while the singer and her family was reportedly inside.
On Sunday afternoon, March 8, the exclusive Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood turned tense when gunfire erupted outside the home of global music icon.
Reports indicate the shooting occurred shortly after 1 p.m., when a woman parked across the street from the singer’s mansion allegedly fired a series of shots toward the gated property.
Authorities later confirmed that roughly ten rounds were discharged during the alarming incident. One of the bullets reportedly pierced a wall of the luxury residence.
At the time, the Grammy winning artist was said to be inside the home she shares with partner A$AP Rocky, and their three young children.
Police quickly responded to an emergency call placed around 1:21 p.m., launching a search for the suspect who fled the scene in a white Tesla. Dispatch communications indicated the vehicle sped south on Coldwater Canyon Drive shortly after the shots were fired.
According to investigators, officers in a police helicopter soon spotted the vehicle and tracked it to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks.
The suspect, described as a woman in her 30s with braided hair wearing a cream-colored blouse, was taken into custody roughly 30 minutes after the incident was reported.

“When they pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings,” said LAPD spokesperson Armen Arias.
Authorities later discovered bullet holes in the gate of the property as well as damage to an RV parked in the driveway. Despite the gunfire, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported.
The disturbing episode revived memories of a previous security scare involving the singer. In 2018, a man broke into one of Rihanna’s Los Angeles homes and remained inside for several hours before being discovered.
As the case progresses, the suspect remains in custody while investigators examine evidence to determine the motive behind the shooting outside the star’s mansion.
