LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)-Nigerian rapper and social activist Falz has ignited a firestorm of public debate by condemning the Federal Government’s perceived obsession with 2027 election structures while citizens face brutal execution.
In a piercing Instagram video shared on Sunday, the entertainer questioned the morality of political mobilization following the horrific February 3 massacre in Kwara State, where at least 162 residents were slaughtered by suspected terrorists.
The transition from national mourning to political campaigning has particularly incensed the “Bop Daddy” crooner. While President Bola Tinubu responded to the Kaiama Local Government Area attacks by deploying an army battalion via Operation Savannah Shield, Falz dismissed the move as a repetitive, inadequate cycle of “normal statements.”
“The other day, nearly 200 people were killed in Kwara. President just came, released statement… Bro, who has been arrested? Who has been prosecuted for this? Nobody, nothing. Just carry on,” the rapper stated, highlighting the lack of accountability after the Red Cross confirmed victims were bound and executed for rejecting extremist Sharia law.

Beyond the government, Falz turned his sights on religious leaders, accusing them of complicity by allowing politicians to use the pulpit for early 2027 campaigns. He specifically mocked the “spiritual solutions” offered by General Overseers while the Nigerian Senate recently rejected mandatory real-time electronic transmission of election results.
“Papa will not tell you that currently the Senate is refusing to adopt the resolution… because they know it will not allow them to be able to rig,” added, linking the security crisis directly to a lack of electoral integrity and repetition of leaders.
This outburst follows a controversial period where pro-government groups like the CityBoy Movement and Relax Tinubu Is Fixing Nigeria (RTIFN) have been appointing Nollywood actors and socialites to high-profile roles. Falz argues that these strategic appointments are a distraction from the underground lifestyle of fear many Nigerians now endure.
Having previously called for the President’s resignation following the November 2025 abductions at a Christ Apostolic Church, the rapper remains one of the few celebrities consistently demanding a “period” of action over prayer.
Public frustration continues to mount as the Electoral Act 2022’s 150-day campaign window is seemingly ignored by power brokers while village doors are kicked in by insurgents and its people killed in the most horrific way.
