ENUGU, Nigeria (VOICE OF NAIJA)- The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reshuffled the leadership of its 2026 National Convention Central Coordination Committee, appointing former Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, as chairman.
Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who was initially named to lead the committee, has been reassigned to the position of treasurer following the reconstitution.
In a related move, the ruling party expanded the committee’s membership from 73 to 90, a development aimed at widening internal participation and accommodating more party stakeholders ahead of the national convention.
Newly inducted members include Senator Barry Mpigi and other notable figures within the APC hierarchy.
The party explained that the reconstitution followed a review of the committee’s structure to align with zoning arrangements and other strategic considerations as preparations for the convention intensify.
According to the APC, the adjustments are intended to strengthen coordination and ensure a smooth planning process for the 2026 national convention.
