LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Sammy West, the elder brother of Nollywood star Regina Daniels, has addressed his controversial arrest, raising serious questions about unequal treatment in a case he claims is connected to billionaire politician Ned Nwoko.
The social media outburst followed a viral video that captured the moment West and Ann, a close friend of Regina Daniels, were reportedly arrested from their residence.
In an Instagram Story, West narrated how he was handcuffed and transported by road to Abuja on a grueling 12-hour journey. In contrast, he alleged that Ann, who was arrested in connection with the same case, was flown to the capital in a private jet.
He added that the stark difference in treatment left him visibly frustrated.

“Wetin man do man! Put me for 12 hours journey on handcuff and Ann dem use private jet transport am,” West wrote, questioning why two people linked to the same matter would be handled so differently.
He further claimed that the authorities repeated a familiar pattern from a previous arrest, alleging that neither he nor Ann was allowed to inform family members about their whereabouts. According to West, this lack of communication heightened the tension surrounding the incident.
Providing an update on the legal proceedings, West disclosed that the case has now been adjourned until March 5, 2026, suggesting that the matter is far from over.
Meanwhile, Regina Daniels has also weighed in publicly, insisting that her estranged husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, is responsible for the arrest.
While the footage triggered widespread speculation online, West’s personal account has added a fresh layer of intrigue to the unfolding drama and marriage troubles between the billionaire senator and the actress.
