The social media personality had confidently backed Nigeria to defeat Morocco, only for the high-stakes clash to stretch beyond regulation time.
After a goalless 90 minutes, Morocco held their nerve to secure a 4–2 victory in the penalty shootout, bringing Nigeria’s AFCON journey to an abrupt halt and crushing Peller’s bet.

In a video shared online, the visibly upset influencer revealed that he misunderstood the betting terms, admitting he did not know the wager would be void once the match failed to produce a winner within regulation time.
The realization came too late, turning what he hoped would be a celebratory night into a painful lesson.
Moments before the decisive penalties, Peller disclosed that he had even walked out of the stadium where he was watching the game, still clinging to hope. He appealed passionately for a Super Eagles victory, unaware that the odds and the rules were no longer in his favor.
