LAGOS, Nigeria(VOICE OF NAIJA)- Public health concerns have emerged in Lagos after a father alleged that his nine-month-old identical twin sons died less than 24 hours after receiving routine immunizations at a local primary health centre.
The father, Samuel Alozie, also known as Promise Samuel on TikTok, took to the app stating that his twins, Testimony and Timothy, were taken to Ajangbadi Primary Health Centre in Ojo Local Government Area on the morning of 24 December 2025. According to Alozie, the infants became weak shortly after vaccination and died the following morning, Christmas Day.
“It happened that the immunization was conducted on the 24th of December, in the morning. And on the morning of 25th December, they died. On that 24th, after the injection, they were very weak, and I gave them paracetamol because the nurse said that if the temperature continued, I should give them paracetamol,” Alozie said.
Alozie added that the medication did not improve the twins’ condition and their health only went downhill.
“The drug weakened two of them to the extent they can’t talk, they can’t eat, they can’t play as usual,” he added.
The father also raised concerns over the handling of the immunization, alleging that expired, counterfeit, or excessive doses of vaccines may have been administered. He claimed that deworming tablets were given without his consent and warned other parents to verify the procedures before vaccinating their children.

“Before you go for immunization, try to know what they are giving to your child, because I guess maybe this is an overdose, or it is fake drugs,” he said.
Alozie further questioned the presence of a nurse he did not recognize, stating that the person administering the vaccines was different from the usual healthcare worker he trusted. He also dismissed claims allegedly made by the health centre attributing the deaths to food-related bacteria.
“The woman that have been giving us injections is not the woman who gave us the injection that day. Another face. She said that it is food bacteria that killed my children. How can food bacteria kill a child?” he asked.
Although an autopsy was reportedly conducted, Alozie expressed concern about the credibility of the findings and the possibility of manipulation. The father has appealed for legal and public support, citing financial constraints in pursuing the case independently.
“I’m scared. The reason I’m scared is that I don’t know if this government will give me the actual justice because, you know, this is government-to-government. I know that they will manipulate this result. Please, if you’re a lawyer, a human rights lawyer, please help me. I don’t have a lawyer. People should help me. I need justice for these children,” the heartbroken father appealed.
The case has sparked debate over vaccine safety, parental consent, and accountability within public health facilities, with calls for an independent investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of his twin sons.
As at press time, both the Lagos State Ministry of Health and the Lagos State Primary Health Care Board were yet to issue an official statement.
